The Short Version
I’m Nate Johnson. I run a plumbing company in Greater Boston. I also run 4 AI agents that handle my scheduling, research, memory, and business operations.
Not “AI-curious.” Not “experimenting.” Running them. In production. Every day.
The Longer Version
I co-own Johnson Bros. Plumbing & Drain Cleaning with my brother Nick. We service Quincy, the South Shore, and Greater Boston. Real work — frozen pipes, clogged drains, boiler installs.
In early 2026, I started building with OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent platform. What started as curiosity turned into a full operating system for my business:
- ZEKE — my primary AI assistant (Claude Opus). Handles operations, communications, and orchestrates everything else.
- Huginn — research agent. When I need to understand a new boiler model, a business opportunity, or a competitor, Huginn does the deep dive.
- Muninn — memory agent. Maintains project continuity, organizes knowledge, keeps the institutional memory I’d otherwise lose.
- Odin — architect agent. Designs systems, evaluates tradeoffs, plans the technical roadmap.
They run on a $40/month EC2 instance. The AI API costs are real, but the leverage is massive.
Why This Blog
Most AI content is written by people who’ve never used it for anything real. It’s hype, demos, and “imagine if…”
This blog is different. Everything here comes from actual deployment. Actual problems. Actual solutions that work while I’m under someone’s sink with a wrench.
If you run a service business and you’re wondering whether AI can actually help — it can. I’ll show you how.
Work With Me
I help service businesses deploy OpenClaw and AI automation. From quick-start setups to full custom deployments.
